A smarter way to collect donations and payments, with user-friendly, mobile, all-in-one terminals.
CDF Donation Terminals are designed to collect fast and secure payments or donations in-person.
The terminals are ideal for parishes, schools and other organisations who are seeking a cash-free payment collection option.
Program up to four pre-selected donation amounts on the home-screen, or include a fifth option for 'custom' amounts. It's a simple way to streamline donations.
Use the Smart Donation terminal as an EFTPOS machine for payments and fundraising events. The Li-ion battery in both terminal options is easy to unplug and use anywhere, any time.
Seamless sign-up and onboarding, with quick, local delivery upon application approval.
A modular design featuring a large 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen with a full tactile keypad (Smart Donation Terminals), improved 4G, WiFi, and Bluetooth 5 make it user friendly and easy to connect.
The online Cloud EFTPOS portal helps manage payments, track activity and update the terminal with new features.
A wide variety of payment platforms are accepted:

Have a question? We’re here to help. Here are some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) from current customers:
Yes, the Smart Terminal uses encryption, just as EFTPOS terminals do, to protect and secure card transactions sent to the acquiring financial institution.
Since the terminal uses contactless-only technology, donations are limited to whole dollar amounts up to a maximum of $99 in Australia.
The transaction maximum is $99 in Australia.
No, donations cannot be refunded. If a dispute arises, it is best to speak to the donor directly to see if the matter can be resolved.
Following the completion of a donation, the donor is provided an option on screen to request a receipt. Selecting ‘Yes’ will show a QR code that can be scanned by a smartphone camera, taking the donor to a digital copy of their receipt. More information will be provided during the onboarding phase.
All Smart Terminal customers receive access to a Cloud EFTPOS online portal to manage their network of devices. Clouse EFTPOS includes a reporting tool providing detailed transaction data, which can also be exported in spreadsheet format.
The Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal, which is linked to your Smart Terminal, is only accessible once you register and obtain your device. Once onboarded, you will receive a username and password to access the online portal.
The terminal must connect to the internet in order to process transactions and receive updates. When connecting to the internet for the first time, use a trusted WiFi network rather than the 4G network that your terminal may be capable of. Note that an unsecured WiFi network will not work. Using a WiFi connection will allow the terminal to update its software and configuration quickly if required. Further instructions will be provided during the onboarding phase.
A Smart Terminal is powered by a rechargeable, high-capacity Lithium-Ion battery. The battery management system features a fuel gauge, so the user always has accurate information on battery status. To get the best out of your Lithium-ion battery ensure regular charging and avoid depleting your terminal's battery to 0%. This includes regularly charging your terminal even if it is not in use for an extended period of time.
If you anticipate not using the terminal for a long period of time, the battery must be fully charged and periodically checked and recharged every 3 months. Doing so will ensure the Terminal maintains its security information and will be ready for use when required.
The Smart Terminal contract is valid for three years, after that the contract renews for a year at a time. If you want to return the terminal before the end of the contract term, a fee of $104.95 will be incurred. Speak to your CDF Relationship Manager to discuss the options available to you.
Yes, you own the DPT outright. If the DPT is stolen or damaged, you will incur a full replacement cost of $930.
The Smart Terminal includes a reinforced Kensington slot that enables the attachment of an industry standard Kensington Security Cable.
Kensington Cables provide a secure method to also secure other high value electronic devices including Laptops and LCD Displays. This cable is readily available at in-person and online retail stores, such as Officeworks and Amazon.
It is highly recommended to have the device attached to the cable at all times. Attaching the Kensington Cable to your device may take a few minutes, given the tight nature of the fitting.
The Tether Cable accessory is recommended if you have purchased a DPT Countertop Stand accessory and helps to keep your DPT and stand secured.
The Tether Cable is a 1 metre long braided metal cable with a loop at both ends. One loop engages with the stand, and the other loop is anchored to an immovable object such as a retail counter.
